Waiting for the Spirit

Welcome!

Readings and reflection resources for Ascension Thursday, May 21, 2020 and Sunday, May 24, 2020.

Waiting for the Spirit is the theme for this week as we reflect on the meaning of Jesus' Ascension into heaven and the promise of his sending an Advocate to us.  In the videos below Bishop Robert Barron invites us to reflect on the meaning of the Ascension for the Body of Christ, the Church.  Becky Eldredge reflects on how this preparation time before Pentecost invites us to look at how the Spirit is present in our everyday experience - especially in this time of Covid 19.

We hope you will join us online for a small group sharing.

Reflection

  • Eldredge says "We may have pain now, but the promise of joy is certain. Start by naming the real to God." What "real" have you been facing?
  • Where are you experiencing joy? How does that reveal God to you?
